What is your background and how did it bring you to Talroo?

I have more than 20+ years in sales and sales management experience. I was introduced to the online recruitment advertising industry in 1999 when I started working for Monster, and was there for 10 years. I joined Beyond/Nexxt in 2011 and was there for 5 years. It was in this role that I worked alongside Cindy Songne, our current VP of Talent Attraction Solutions at Talroo. When she moved to Talroo, I became familiar with the company and was happy to make the move when she began to create an enterprise team.

What do you most want to accomplish as a Talent Attraction Solutions Consultant at Talroo?

I want to be the ultimate team player that brings value to the company in both sales and experience. 

Who inspires you?

My family inspires me to be the best husband, father, and person.

What do you think is the most important piece of information for hiring managers/recruiters to know right now?

You need to be looking for candidates that have some balance in their life.

What is one helpful piece of advice someone has given you about your own career?

Once you have learned as much as you can in your current role, start looking for the next job that will allow you to continue to grow both personally and professionally. 

What is the last book you read?

The Resolution for Men by Stephen Kendrick, Alex Kendrick, and Randy Alcorn.

How would you like to see the TA industry change or improve?
Many times, job seekers are treated like a thing and not like people during the recruiting process. As a result, great talent is kept from being hired and might think twice about applying for another position at your company in the future. This stunts both the job seeker and the company. 
Who/what would be your spirit animal?

A bear is my spirit animal.

What do you think is the most important piece of information for job candidates to know right now?

Look for companies that will allow you to continue growing both professionally and personally, just like my mentor once told me.

What do you like best about working at Talroo?

The people and the amazing culture that they create. I also appreciate the benefits and perks that come with working for a company that cares about its employees.

Iced tea and beef jerky.

What are you most passionate about in talent acquisition?

Helping organizations engage with talent, allowing them to meet their overall hiring and business initiatives.

What recent developments in talent acquisition excite you?

New technology being developed that helps connect talent with employers based on the platform being used by the job seeker.

What would be your perfect Saturday?

Hanging out with my family and just enjoying each other's company.
