2018 was an unforgettable year for Talroo! Join us for a quick journey through some of the highlights from this year.
Thad Price was named our new CEO
Talroo (then Jobs2Careers) announced Thad Price’s promotion to Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. In a letter from Thad following the announcement, he shared that he has many plans for the company’s future. And that he is proud to lead the amazing team in our next phase of growth and honored to serve as Talroo’s (then Jobs2Careers’) CEO.
We shared our new name, Talroo, with the TA world…
Talroo was created to unify the existing Jobs2Careers brand with a growing suite of employer solutions. When Jobs2Careers was founded in 2010, we were a job search aggregator that helped people find jobs and employers find talent. As we scaled, we began building new technology to help employers reach candidates more efficiently by leveraging job seeker behavior and hiring data. We created Talroo to build on this technology and momentum, while retaining the sub-brand Jobs2Careers as one of the largest job search platforms in the industry.
…and debuted a new booth at SHRM Talent introducing our new brand
SHRM Talent was our first event after changing our name to Talroo, and our first opportunity to share our brand with hiring professionals in person. We showed up at the conference with a booth and swag that perfectly help tell the Talroo story.
Talroo released an eBook titled, How to Win at High-Volume Recruiting
The eBook contains plenty of data and advice for high-volume recruiting professionals to leverage that data. We teach you strategies to keep your applicant quality high, steps to increase and maintain speed, and resources for optimizing your recruitment marketing budget. Follow it up with our blog post about the metrics you should be measuring for your most successful year yet.
We went all out for Halloween…as always
After a random lunchtime conversation, this years Halloween theme was decided, Harry Potter. From there, we went all out purchasing a costume for all that wanted to participate to creating a feast worthy of Hogwarts. We are always blown away with how many of our employees are willing to participate. Way to go team!
Talroo earned a spot on Inc. 5000 List of Fastest-Growing Private Companies for 5th consecutive year
Inc. magazine included Talroo on its 37th annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. Of the tens of thousands of companies that have applied to the Inc. 5000, only 20% of honorees has made the list five times. Talroo first landed on the Inc. 500 list at #131 in 2014, and has been able to sustain a high level of growth each year since, with this year’s 3-year growth rate at over 133%.
Talroo earned a spot on the Austin Business Journal’s Fast 50 List
For the fourth time, Talroo earned a spot on the ABJ Fast 50 list in the $10 million+ revenue category. To make this list, companies must have experienced substantial revenue growth during the past three years. Talroo was joined by many Austin companies, including AffiniPay, EBQuickstart, and Sabre Commercial on the list.
Our book, The Complete Seasonal Hiring Playbook, was released.
The playbook was created to provide recruiters in industries requiring high-volume hiring around the holidays, the information they need to hire better, faster, and more economically. The feedback on this book was astounding, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to become a thought leader in the talent acquisition space.
Talroo was named a Top Workplace by the Austin-American Statesman
Talroo earned a spot in the Top Small Employers category (companies under 150 employees). The list is based solely on the results of an employee feedback survey (thank you so much #teamtalroo). Our employees ranked us highly in all areas on the survey, which measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few.
Team Talroo gave a lot of time and money this holiday season
From a Thanksgiving food drive where we collected 1,611 pounds of food to purchasing gifts for 25 children from low-income families in partnership with Brody’s Gift. Knowing how fortunate we are to have the jobs that we do and the wonderful perks that come with it, we are so grateful to do what we can to help our fellow Austinites. What a wonderful way to wrap up a busy 2018.
See you in 2019!
